What is the ANIME token?

The ANIME token has two primary utilities: governance and gas fees. As the governance token for the AnimeDAO, ANIME gives its holders the right to vote on proposals shaping the ecosystem's direction. It’s also used to pay for gas fees on Animechain.

The tokens are allocated as follows:

  • Community (50%): 37.5% is reserved for the Azuki community, fully unlocked at launch (unclaimed tokens go to Community Cultivation). Another 13% is for Community Cultivation, controlled by ANIME holders via the AnimeDAO.
  • Animecoin Foundation (24.44%): 51.7% unlocked at launch, remaining after a 6-month cliff, distributed over 30 months.
  • Partner Communities (2%): This allocation is reserved for communities aligned with the Animecoin vision to expand the project's reach.
  • Team & Advisors (15.62%): 1-year cliff, 3-year vesting.
  • Azuki Company (7.44%): 1-year cliff, 3-year vesting.
