What is Canton?

Canton Coin (ticker: CC) is the native utility token of the Canton Network. It serves multiple roles within the ecosystem: it acts as the economic engine for the network’s infrastructure layer, enables payment of transaction and traffic‑fees, and rewards participants who contribute to network utility. The token is distributed through a fair‑launch model in which tokens are earned through network participation rather than pre‑mined or reserved for early‑stage investors. CC is designed to align incentives with real usage: fees paid in the token are burned, and new tokens are minted based on application builder, user and infrastructure operator activity, thereby linking token supply to actual network consumption rather than speculation.
