What is the PLUME token?

The PLUME token serves four roles within the Plume ecosystem:

  • Transaction Fees: PLUME is used to pay for transactions within the Plume Network.
  • Governance: Token holders have the opportunity to participate in governance decisions that shape the future of the network.
  • Staking: Users can stake PLUME to support network security and earn rewards.
  • Liquidity Provision: PLUME maintains liquidity within the ecosystem, enhancing the usability and efficiency of the network.

Out of the total 10 billion PLUME tokens, 59% is dedicated to community incentives like grants and rewards for validators. Another 21% is reserved for rewards for early supporters, including institutional investors and strategic partners who contributed to the early success of the Plume Network. The remaining 20% is allocated to core contributors (the project team).
