What is Unibase?

Unibase is a high performance decentralized AI memory layer built to give autonomous AI agents long term memory and smooth cross platform interoperability. Instead of leaving agents inside isolated systems or forcing them to operate without persistent knowledge, Unibase provides a secure and durable memory infrastructure that allows agents to store information, recall it over time, and build on previous actions. The platform also introduces an interoperability protocol that allows agents created on different frameworks to communicate, coordinate tasks, and exchange information. Its architecture is organized around three main modules: Membase, which manages decentralized long term memory storage; AIP Protocol, which enables cross agent messaging and collaboration; and Unibase DA, a data availability layer that supports fast data access for real time AI workloads. Together these components create the foundation for an open and composable agent ecosystem. The goal of Unibase is to enable a transparent and scalable environment where AI agents can evolve, cooperate, and operate across a shared decentralized network.

What is $UB?

$UB is the native utility token of the Unibase ecosystem, with a maximum supply of ten billion tokens. It plays several essential roles in the protocol. UB is used to pay for operations including memory storage in Membase, cross agent communication through the AIP Protocol, and data availability services through Unibase DA. The token is also used for governance. Holders can lock their UB into a vote escrowed format called veUB, which gives them the ability to participate in decisions related to upgrades, parameters, and allocation of protocol revenue. UB is further required for agent staking. Agents must stake UB to operate within the network, aligning their incentives with overall ecosystem performance. The token also powers knowledge mining, a system that rewards contributors who add prompts, memory entries, or other reusable information to the shared memory layer. This encourages ongoing community participation and supports steady growth of the network’s collective intelligence.
